City of San Jose’s ADA Sidewalk Transition Plan — 3/10/2022 5:30 to 7 pm
There is a meeting on Thursday, March 10th from 5:30 to 7 pm to provide input on the City of San Jose’s ADA Sidewalk Transition Plan. This plan has not been updated since 2010 and there are areas in San Jose that have not been retrofitted with curb ramps and safe paths of travel.
If you have encountered areas in San Jose that you cannot access, please register for this meeting and give feedback. Even non-disabled people can encounter barriers on side walks and other pathways. Trust me, if you encounter a barrier, it is probably much worse for a disabled person. Everyone can talk about barriers and it is important that we find a way to normalize improved sidewalks for everyone in San Jose.
