Wash — Rinse — Repeat

So much of the ongoing narratives are based in flaws in the media. I read the posts and am amazed at the slivers of truth that are then twisted with hate in subtle and not so subtle ways. I have had to break ties with people because their posts were wishing harm to ME and not just this group of hated others or that group of less-deserving people. I am not sure when hate and harm to others even in jest became the thing to do.

I am reminded of the documentary “The Brainwashing of My Dad,” that shows the progression of conspiracy and hate from an immersion into certain media outlets. Sadly, those that need to see the realities of corporate owned and influenced media will never truly understand this.

It is true that no matter where you watch these days, someone’s agenda is being put forward. Unbiased media typically is quite dull without loaded opinion-based adjectives and adverbs. The neo-liberal agenda is as bad as the far-right one. Primarily because both are paid for and set by agendas that care more for profit over human needs.

Too many people have blinders on. We are living at a time of great stress. Capitalism that prioritizes corporate power under a trickle down economy has resulted in the rich getting richer and others going without. Our country is controlled by 2 groups, representing many corporate interests first and foremost. The members of each group are not bad but until more people understand these systems of power, we stay stuck in this cycle of wash, rinse, and repeat.
